These “speedsters of the west” afford hunters with fast action and plenty of excitement on our private ranches. This is a fun and challenging 2 day hunt for both novice and seasoned hunters alike, and this is a great hunt to introduce a youngster to hunting. Ranch elevations range between 4000 and 6000 feet elevation with rolling hills and broad valleys, with scattered cedar trees providing excellent spot and stalk opportunities.

Hunters can expect to see lots of bucks and have the chance to take a mature buck with horns ranging in the 14 to 16 inch class. Season dates occur in mid September. Hunter success runs in the 90+% range and 100% shooting opportunity. Hunters should expect shots at up to 300 yards and a fast flat shooting rifle is recommended. Landowner licenses are provided for license purchase.

Motel accommodations and meals (with the exception of lunch at the ranch) are not included in the hunt cost. Due to the ranch locations approximately 45 minutes of driving time is required to get to the ranch each morning from the motel. For hunters “flying in” Albuquerque, New Mexico is the recommended airport and car rental is available to the motel meeting location. Plan on 1 hour driving time.
